Pritchard Francis Scholarship Honour Board Unveiling
Pritchard Francis are proud to announce the Pritchard Francis Scholarship Honour Board was unveiled at The University of Western Australia, in the Clough Engineering Student Centre, on Tuesday 12 March 2013. Mr John Dell, Winthrop Professor, Dean of Faculty, Mr Arthur Psaltis, Managing Director of Pritchard Francis and Chris Tyler, Director of Pritchard Francis, were joined by other faculty members along with UWA engineering students for the ceremony which was followed by afternoon refreshments.
Mr Chris Tyler the inaugural winner of the Pritchard Francis Scholarship in 2004, and winner of the WA Young Professional Engineer of the Year in 2011, spoke about the success of the scholarship and the highly valued teaching methods provided at UWA.
“The success of this scholarship is a perfect demonstration to prospective students that, as well as being a wonderful place to come and study, UWA’s teaching methods are highly valued by the industry”, Mr Tyler said.
Pritchard Francis and The University of Western Australia look forward to continuing their strong relationship with one another to help promote the university, in particular the school of civil and resource engineering.

Pritchard Francis Perth to Surf
In 2012, Pritchard Francis were taken on board as the major sponsor for the inaugural running of the Pritchard Francis Perth to Surf event. The event was organised and completed by a group of 8 young professionals from around Perth, including our own James Leiper. The aim of the event was to raise funds and awareness for a local charity – the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund. It involved two teams of 3 walkers partaking in a continuous walk from Kings Park in Perth to the beach in Margaret River. A total distance of 300km was completed by the group in a time of approximately 66 hours. They secured a number of other Gold Sponsors, and along with auctioning off donated items and personal donations from friends, colleagues and family; they managed to raise in excess of their goal of $15,000. The Pritchard Francis Perth to Surf organisers are already looking to the future, with the aim of making this in to an annual event.
