Pritchard Francis is pleased to announce the appointment of Harish Tantry to the role of Engineering Director – Resources.
Harish recently completed his role as Engineering Manager – Package 1 (Mine) with the EPC contractor, Samsung C&T, and was able to make an impact amid complex contractual arrangements with Engineering and Construction Contractors.
Harish has worked 28 years in the mining and metals industry in a range of project types, including in-plant sustaining projects, feasibility studies and execution of major brownfield and greenfield projects. Harish’s strong analytical and design background has helped advance his career through lead civil/structural and engineering management roles for major projects in iron ore, copper, gold, coal, bauxite and aluminium industries.
Though his career he has held senior positions with majors including Bechtel, Calibre, Minproc (AMEC), AECOM, SKM (Jacobs) and Samsung C&T. He has established engineering teams, systems, and procedures, and has completed engineering management roles on major projects including the Roy Hill Project – Package 1 (Mine), BHP Jinidi Iron Ore Feasibility Study, CBG Bauxite Expansion (Guinea, W Africa), Tenke Fungurume Copper (Democratic Republic of Congo, Central Africa), Rio Tinto Yandi 36 Expansion and BHP Iron Ore Standard Facilities Development Project.
In addition to his technical expertise, Harish has a passion for business strategy and improving quality and efficiency in project delivery through standardisation, integrated project workflow and systems.
Harish holds post graduate qualifications in Structural Engineering, Project Management and Business.
