Pritchard Francis provided civil and structural engineering consultancy services for the new state of the art multi species sale yard facility located at Muchea, north of Perth, on behalf of Building Management Works and Western Australia Meat Industry Authority.

A forward works package included 1,150,000m³ of cut out to fill works, resulting in a 130,000m² pad site, anaerobic and aerobic ponds in addition to clean and grey water dams.  The main building package included construction of a 95,000m²  pavement hardstand, 8 bay truck wash, maintenance area and separate visitor parking and access.  Separate stormwater systems enabled capture of the roof and pavement hardstand runoff allowing the centre to attain water self-sufficiency utilising the captured runoff for potable and stock use following treatment.
