Mandurah Junction - Stage 2
Land Development
- Reusing existing material within roads and lots.
- Adding additional drainage to a system already designed and installed, prior to the lots requiring lot connection pits.
- Tying in with existing residences, including building retaining walls on existing property boundaries and thus requiring close liaison with existing residents.
This redevelopment comprises 29 residential green title lots and one mixed use lot. Pritchard Francis completed the detailed design, and provided the contract administration and site superintendence of the earthworks, retaining walls, servicing and road works.
As the works were bounded by existing residences, retaining walls were needed along adjoining boundaries. Close liaison with residents was required to minimise disruption to these households.
To help maximise savings to the client, existing limestone on site was utilised for road construction and stockpiles of topsoil were blended to use as engineering fill.
The Pritchard Francis team looks forward to continuing work on Stages 3 and 4 of this project from 2015 onward.
