Services included building design, civil and structural engineering and engagement of Quantity Surveyor and building services to develop concept and schematic design and tender documents suitable for development approval and a D&C package.

The design of the facility underwent a number of design iterations as a result of ongoing value engineering initiatives, design optimisation, and collaboration by our design team, Wood and the US based Client leadership team in an effort to provide a state of the art staff facility, within budget and an extremely tight program.

The scope involves:

  • Development of current concept design to schematic design (30%).
  • Preparation of design documentation to support development approval application.
  • Preparation of design documentation suitable for inclusion with D&C tender package.
  • Preparation of cost estimate report.

Plant buildings at the site will comprise:

  • Corporate and Administration Building.
  • Change Room.
  • Canteen Building/Outdoor Dining Area.
  • Operations/Maintenance Building.
  • Gatehouse/Security.
  • Laboratory Building.
  • First Aid and Emergency Response Building.
  • Plant Control Room Building – excluding specialist equipment fit-out.

The battery limits of the site, civil works and services infrastructure design will be to the internal boundary of the NPI site, with services reticulated to each of the buildings from main termination points provided for by the overall site infrastructure design (by others). The civil scope includes for necessary cross over road connections to the main site circulation roads to be provided (by others).
