The Denmark Hospital and Health Services facility includes an emergency department, primary health services, a 10 bed acute ward and a 22 bed residential care facility.

The health facility is situated on a site with demanding soil conditions. Pritchard Francis undertook the structural consulting services on this project. ESD considerations were incorporated into the design with Pritchard Francis providing significant input into initiatives to address the issues.

Due the reactive clay site, the design incorporating flexible cladding and building materials was a must. Light gauge stud walls with light gauge steel trusses were optimised for the development.

The Denmark Health Service facility received an Architecture Award in the Public Architecture category and was also the recipient of the Colorbond Award for Steel Architecture.
