ALDI Rockingham

ALDI Rockingham is a new discount supermarket located on Robinson Road in Rockingham, approximately 39km south of Perth CBD.  It was the first freehold ALDI Store constructed in Western Australia.

The site is accessible from Robinson Road to the north and Chalgrove Avenue to the east.  It is bounded by various small retail outlets to the north and south and a car park to the west.

1:1 PH Architects appointed Pritchard Francis to provide civil and structural engineering services for the project.

The scope involved civil and structural design, documentation and site administration during construction.

The structural documentation required review and redesign to incorporate amendments to the plant deck, future proofing for a bakery, and as a result of a contractor and client decision to change the external concrete wall panels from tilt-up to precast.
