Lorikeet Drive was the extension of an existing road within the Roebuck Estate development. The extension provided a secondary access point onto Old Broome Road, which is the main route from Roebuck Estate to the Broome Town Center.

The project involved detailed analysis of expected traffic flows, which in turn provided required design parameters for the road. The design incorporated 320m of road, a new intersection with Old Broome Road and the crossing of a significant drainage swale. Pritchard Francis also superintended the project throughout construction.

The location of this project is immediately adjacent to a very significant heritage area for the Yawuru people of Broome. Pritchard Francis was heavily involved in consultation with Nyamba Buru Yawuru Corporation throughout the works. Being close to Roebuck Bay, the soil conditions encountered were unsuitable in places and Pritchard Francis provided input into required remedial measures.

The project was delivered on programme to a high quality.
