Pritchard Francis was engaged by Perth Airport to design, document and site administer the proposed car park expansion and upgrade to serve the T1 International and T1 Pier airport terminals. The widening of Horrie Miller Drive to the car park was also undertaken.
Pritchard Francis acted as the Lead Consultant for all civil engineering aspects of the project including planning of the car park layout, liaison with adjacent developments and project teams, detailed design and coordination with the sub consultant team of architectural, structural, electrical, way-finding and road safety auditors.
The project was successfully delivered on time to the Client, comprising of 2,600 car embayments offering a range of products including short term parking, car rental bays, small charter bays and valet/airport security parking bays, widening and diversion of Horrie Miller Drive, car park entry and exit plazas, provision of car rental booths, remote storage for valet parking, car washes and covered pedestrian walkways.
Consideration of staging to ensure minimal disruption to existing operations and parking, in addition to coordination with concurrent projects by other consultants, service protection and relocation within an eight week program were challenges successfully managed.
