BPA Stormwater Management Plan
- Coordination of past and future projects into overall Stormwater Drainage Management Plan.
- Early engagement with key stakeholders.
Pritchard Francis was engaged by the Kimberley Ports Authority in 2012 to provide them with an overarching Stormwater Drainage Management Plan (SDMP) for the lands within the Broome Port.
Subsequently Pritchard Francis has been engaged to provide conceptual designs and cost estimates for future works. Pritchard Francis, as part of the SDMP, identified likely onsite upgrades and future storage requirements in order to ensure post development flows will be kept to pre-development rates.
Due to its close proximity to Roebuck Bay there is a high level of sensitivity in regards to stormwater drainage control at the Broome Port.
Pritchard Francis has presented the proposed designs to key stakeholders such as the Shire of Broome and the traditional owners of the Broome area, the Yawuru people. Subsequent to these presentations Pritchard Francis has refined the concept designs to incorporate these stakeholders’ requirements.
