Broome Residential College was originally built in 2007 to house 72 high school students who live on campus while attending secondary school in Broome. Stage 2 of the facility increases the capacity to 116 students, as well as providing an undercover basketball court, undercover pool, new recreation hall and new staff accommodation.

Pritchard Francis undertook the role of civil and structural engineering consultant, designing and documenting the new building and associated civil works. The buildings varied from steel frames to blockwork walls with light gauge steel trusses.
