Peters and Brownes Balcatta

Pritchard Francis has designed, documented and supervised the construction of many chilled and cold store distribution centres for the Peters and Brownes Group. Typically these projects were $1 million facilities with chilling and sometimes freezing capacity, usually on docks, with associated office and other buildings.

A major $6M chilled distribution centre was designed, documented and supervised at the Balcatta site. Pritchard Francis handled all industrial design, structural, civil and supervision work and coordinated the consulting work of refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and other consultants.

A range of other assignments have been completed for the Peters and Brownes Group involving major building and equipment modifications inside existing operating buildings.

Throughout this work Pritchard Francis worked to budgets and was involved in many rationalisation exercises aimed at devising simpler operating systems with improved efficiencies, lower initial construction costs and lower life cycle costs.
