The Cove is a residential development by Blackburne Property Group located within LandCorp’s Minim Cove Estate in North Fremantle. The multi-award winning apartments traverse the suburbs of Mosman Park and North Fremantle in the heart of Perth’s exclusive western suburbs. The development consists of 26 private dwellings nestled into a steeply banked site with two level lower terraces, three level upper terraces and two levels of basement car parking.

Pritchard Francis undertook Civil and Structural Engineering Services for this project and used the uniqueness of the site to help deliver numerous innovations to deliver an extremely cost effective structure. Efficiently designed retaining systems provided significant cost benefits, including a semi top down approach to retaining which was directly adjacent an existing 4 metre high limestone retaining wall without the need to pile. The concrete slab system provided significant cost benefits, including completely flat soffits for typical floors for ease of formwork.

The project was delivered in an integrated Design and Construct environment with DMG undertaking both architecture and construction services.
