The Banksia Grove Village shopping centre for Coles Property Development Group is a two stage development. Stage 1 is a 8,000sqm complex with Coles occupying over 4,000m2 of the total floor area.  The complex also includes two fast food outlets, a fuel station and 20 specialty retail tenancies. Architectural features include two entry statements at the northwest and southwest corners which include slender columns with a shallow roof structure.

Pritchard Francis was awarded the civil and structural scopes of work for the project.

Kingspan roof cladding has been proposed for the Coles building alleviating the need for ceiling insulation. Furthermore, Kingspan has increased spanning capabilities compared with traditional roof cladding. To take advantage of this, the purlins have been designed at 2.4m centres which are significantly larger than standard building practice.

Civil design and documentation has included bulk earthworks, 1:100 ARI stormwater detention, limestone block retaining walls and modification of Pinjar Road and Joondalup Drive to include slip lanes to the satisfaction of City of Wanneroo and Main Roads WA. Liaison with the northern developer was also undertaken to ensure the future road reserves blend in smoothly with the Stage 1 car parks and Stage 2 building expansion.
