Unique Design Items
  • Feature timber blades at entrance and through mall, requiring structural support.
  • Incorporation of Woolworths and ALDI standard store layouts.

The Stockland Harrisdale Shopping Centre is a 12,200m2 complex with a 4,200m2 Woolworths as the major tenant. The shopping centre also includes one mini-major, 30 in-line specialty stores, five retail kiosks, six pad site retailers and 500 car parking bays. External alfresco and childrens’ playground areas add to the neighbourhood feel of the centre, while large internal skylights, open malls, timber clad entrances and coloured concrete panels are architectural features.

Environmentally sustainable design is a major focus of the development, with a proposed minimum 4 Star Green Star Design rating. Features including solar panels and cement replacement, and waste water recycling has been incorporated into the design.

Structural documentation was fully carried out in Revit providing significant advantages especially when detailing the complex structural steel entrance canopies.
